Lip Synching Exercise & Evaluation
Evaluation
During this exercise I have learnt that it is not easy to film a music video and that you must be organised, you must always look at the same shot from every different angle possible and must have a team with you to help you with the lighting, filming, angles, camera. It would be extremely difficult to do it all alone.
I have learnt that filming a duet is not easy, you must get both characters in the shots at all times and always try and capture any emotion between them there is, or fury or feelings. You should try and get close up but mid-shots are often good.
The process of editing was difficult, it involved categorising each angle and trying to synch it in with the music to make sure that the lyrics were matching the lip synchs of the performers. Firstly we uploaded it and cut the angle types, we then watched them back and put them in the order that we needed followed by the music.
We could of improved the filming/editing of the sequence by experimenting more with even mare angle shots and more close ups instead of just one mid-shot. Also we could of zoomed right in to the performers lips to emphasise the lip synching and make it look more realistic. More importantly we should of made sure that no props got in the way of the performers face e.g. the microphone. Also we could of edited it more quickly so that we show a different range of shots more often so it displays our ability.
