Technologies Used.

As the video above shows we used many different technologies including:

Video Camera and Tripod
The video camera allowed us to start filming our project and get all our ideas on a tape to see what they looked like and if we wanted to use them. The tripod was the equipment used to hold the camera in place to allow us to get professional still, panning and steady shots.
This peice of technology was extremely useful as it meant we could take it out and film and then bring it back, connect it to a computer and edit our footage. It was a high quality camera which meant that it was effective in giving us high qulaity which came accross more professional.

Digital Camera and Phone
We used a digital camera and a smartphone to take photographs to illustrate evidence of us constructing the music video. These technologies were useful and they also had high quality which made the photos look clear and difinitive. It was effective as it showed what we were doing, what locations we were visiting.

Computer (imac)
We used the imac computer to upload, edit, blog and share our work. The imac allowed us to use high tech hardware such as final cut express and photoshop to change, cut and add effects to our footage, putting it all together. It also allowed us to create the digipak and the advert. It was extremely useful and effective as we could change what we wanted and what we needed to develop the best music video possible.

Final Cut Express
Final cut express was how we put our music video together. It allowed us to upload it, group it, cut it, change it, add effects, add or reduce sound. It is remarkable software which was extremely useful to us and gave an effect that allowed us to produce the music video.

Photoshop
Photoshop is software which allowed us to add effects, crop, change our still images for the digipak and advert. It allowed us to put them together creating a theme and fit perfectly with the video.

Youtube
Youtube allowed us to upload feedback, rough copys, official copys, surveys. It was a great peice of software that any body could access which made it easier to get publicity for our music video gaining much more feedback. We used this throughout the construction, planning and evaluation of our music video.

All of the physical technologies were digital which made them easier to use and much more compatable with the imac. The technologies worked perfectly together, all of the camera's and smarphone connected easily to the imac which we were using for all our footage and the imac also allowed us to access all software which we required to make our music video.

Powtoon
Powtoon is a type of software that I have used. It makes creative short stories on an effective powerpoint style including animations and effects to make it more interesting. Ina child like way. I found it fairly easy to use most of the time however it is very time consuming and in some areas such as getting all the timing right it can be difficult. 

Slideshare
Slideshare is a powerpoint style presentation. It displayed the information that i wanted to show in a easy and themed way which allows you to look at it back at your own place to process and develop the information that I am giving out. I really liked slideshare and found it difficult at first to use however once I had tackled how to do it it was fine,

Animoto
Animoto is a short story shown in just pictures. I felt that a good way to show how I used technologies was to give lots of images and then talk about how I used them in more detail. I didnt include every picture of every single software and technology that I used as I didnt want it to go on for too long and wanted to make it a little bit more interesting. It was easy to use once I figured how to do it and did take up a lot of time finding the pictures making the presentation and then talking about it.

Bluetooth
I used bluetooth when getting pictures from one imac to another with my partner. It was a long process but we did it in the end and it was worth it as we could then both use the pictures and blog about them individually.
